The Humane League is an international nonprofit that aims to end the abuse of animals raised for food.

They currently operate in the U.S., Mexico, the U.K., and Japan, where they work to improve animal welfare standards through grassroots campaigns, movement building, vegan/vegetarian advocacy, research, and advocacy training, as well as through corporate, media, and community outreach.

The Humane League also runs two subsidiary programmes:

• The Open Wing Alliance, a coalition of 90+ member organisations whose mission is to end the use of battery cages globally

• Veganuary, a seasonal pledge campaign that encourages people worldwide to try going vegan throughout the month of January (and beyond)
