AI Safety Course Operations Specialist

We’re seeking an operations specialist to run our flagship AI Safety programs from January 15th through May 7th 2025. This is primarily an operations and coordination role – while knowledge of AI Safety concepts is helpful, expertise isn’t required.
You’ll full-time work from January 15th through May 7th 2025, with the possibility of extension.
What you’ll do
As our operations specialist, you’ll:
Manage all course-related communications and logistics
Coordinate our expert facilitators, project judges and other course contractors
Handle student and facilitator support queries
Onboard students, collect project submissions, issue certificates, process group switches (much of this is largely automated)
Help maintain our existing Airtable systems
You might be our person if
Required qualifications:
Strong track record in executing operational workflows
Good written communication skills
Experience coordinating contractors
Familiarity with basic tools like Slack, Google Docs
Nice to have (do still apply if you don’t have these):
Familiarity with Airtable or similar operational tools
Experience with educational operations
Basic understanding of AI Safety concepts
Low-code/no-code automation experience

This is a full-time remote position. We offer competitive compensation and the opportunity to directly influence the future of AI safety education. Note that as a contractor you will be responsible for your own taxes.
The salary range for this role is £30 to £40 per hour.
