ChinaTalk is a podcast and newsletter that covers US-China relations and technology policy for a global audience of over 40,000 weekly readers. In recent years, we've gone in depth on AI developments in the US and China, and in 2024 we're hoping to grow into the leading outlet for English-language coverage of China's AI ecosystem.

We're looking to hire for both full and part-time opportunities. This is a remote position and we welcome global applications. 


Responsibilities

  • Conduct independent research and analysis on various aspects of China's AI ecosystem, including technological advancements, regulatory frameworks, and industry trends.

  • Write engaging English-language articles on a weekly cadence

Requirements

  • A self-starter, able to generate story ideas and run them down relatively independently

  • Comfortable in reading and researching in Chinese

We're also very open to working with folks with more of a CS background looking to take the leap into written analytical work!
