Can't decide? Support our Maximum Impact Fund.
Rather than supporting a specific global health and development charity, donors can choose to contribute to our Maximum Impact Fund. We distribute this fund to one of our partner charities on a quarterly basis, according to the advice of independent charity evaluator GiveWell.
In making their recommendation, GiveWell takes into account charities’ impact and funding needs, along with the donations they have already received from other sources. Using these criteria, they identify the highest-value funding opportunity amongst the global health and development charities we partner with— some of which are GiveWell top charities.

No. GiveWell’s Top Charities Fund only goes to the organisations on their list of top charities. Their All Grants Fund could go to any funding opportunity that meets their cost effectiveness bar.
Our Maximum Impact Fund is somewhere in the middle. It could go to any of the organisation we partner with, some (but not all) of which are GiveWell top charities.
