INHR is a US registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with a presence in New York and Geneva and a focus on levelling the international playing field, as shown at INHR.org. Our organization supports small states and civil society organizations effectively engage with the UN Human Rights Council, promotes responsible governance of artificial intelligence, and mediates US-China conflict and encourages dialogue. We are seeking a Finance Officer to join our small but dynamic team and work in a friendly, professional environment. The Officer may also periodically provide substantive support to INHR’s programmatic activities.

Responsibilities include:

  • Managing budget and payroll, tracking grant expenditures in consultation with Program Officers

  • Creating organizational budget forecasts in consultation with senior management

  • Producing annual financial reports

  • Conducting audits of INHR’s accounts

  • As needed, providing substantive support to INHR’s human rights, artificial intelligence, and US-China relations programs

Applicants should have an accounting or related degree, English fluency, and work or internship experience in financial management for NGOs. Strong organizational and time management skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment required.
