We’re searching for diligent part-time contractors to help with careful data cleaning, quality control, and posting job opportunities that align with our mission. This role involves repetitive, detail-oriented work that's important to get right—it’s not glamorous, but it's meaningful and will help make a difference.
Who we are
At Probably Good, our mission is to empower people to build careers that are good for them and good for the world. We research high-impact career paths, publish online content, host a global job board, and provide one-on-one advising, among a range of other services.
Our reach has grown rapidly over the past year, and with a substantial grant from Open Philanthropy and a new Executive Director leading the org we’re expanding our capacity—and that includes improving the quality and efficiency of our job board.
What you’ll do
Review scraped job listings and determine which roles meet our criteria for inclusion
Clean up and structure job data based on our internal guidelines
Enter any missing information that couldn’t be automatically scraped
Post approved roles to the live site and perform quality control checks
Troubleshoot formatting issues or small errors that arise post-publishing
Please note: This role involves repetitive and often tedious work that matters and is important to get right. It’s a good fit for someone who finds satisfaction in accuracy, consistency, and quiet focus—not variety or creative problem solving.

Attention to detail: You can spot formatting inconsistencies, typos, and data issues easily.
Consistency & follow-through: You can do repetitive work carefully and reliably.
Comfort with structured tasks: You can apply guidelines to make decisions consistently, even when encountering edge cases or new situations.
Basic technical confidence: You’re comfortable working in platforms like Airtable and Google Sheets, website content management systems, and AI tools like Claude and ChatGPT.
Strong written communication: You’re able to clean up text to be clear, concise, and error-free.
Bonus: Familiarity with career-related content or previous work involving data, content moderation, or quality assurance.
Role details
Type: Part-time contractor
Hours: 5–15 hours per week, with potential for growth
Schedule: Flexible, with some availability overlap with GMT -8 (Pacific US) for occasional check-ins (30 min meetings, every 1-2 months, between 6 AM and 6 PM Pacific Time).
Location: Fully remote
Compensation: Competitive hourly rate, depending on experience and location
