Operations Intern
Impact Ops is looking for an Operations Intern for a 3-6 month internship (timing flexible based on availability) starting in 2025. We have a strong preference for candidates graduating in 2025. This internship is designed to be a stepping stone for your career with Impact Ops. Exceptional interns may have the opportunity to join our team as a Business Administrator after the internship, with a pathway to be promoted to an Operations Associate within one of our verticals in 6-12 months.
Operations Associate
Giving What We Can (GWWC) is looking for an Operations Associate to provide comprehensive operational support across our organization, working closely with and reporting to our Operations Manager, Zou Xinyi.
Operations Roles
You will play a key role in establishing and optimizing the operations of our foundation. You will develop and implement effective processes for grant administration from our pooled funds, and for client’s grantmaking. Additionally, you will develop, optimize, and implement systems to improve internal processes and manage projects across a range of workflows. Your contribution will enhance our internal processes and services, increasing our ability to serve a range of clients and the impact of our entire organization.
Grantmaking Research Roles
You will play a crucial role in driving our mission forward by expanding our grantmaking research capacity. You will oversee a portfolio of research projects for our client philanthropy advisory and grantmaking research for our pooled funds. Your contributions will support our ability to serve a greater number of clients, and donations through our pooled fund, increasing the impact we can achieve.
Generalist
As a generalist, you will help with a wide range of tasks in fields like operations, marketing, and content, while receiving mentorship and opportunities to grow in a hands-on role.
Technical Specialist (Web Developer/Designer)
This role will involve taking the lead on our technical projects—and potentially taking on design work if that’s in your skills and interests. It’s a unique opportunity to work across a wide range of platforms in an environment where you can rapidly execute on ideas, with minimum bureaucracy, while still having room for guidance and collaboration.
Groups / Advising Lead
This role has two potential focus areas: working with organizations and directly advising people in a 1-1 setting. Ideally, you’d be able to tackle both sides of this role (with flexibility on how much time is spent in each), but we’re very open to candidates who are interested in only one part of this role.
Intern
Open Philanthropy is looking for interns to help us conduct further research within our Global Health and Wellbeing (GHW) Cause Prioritization, Global Catastrophic Risks (GCR) Cause Prioritization, and Farm Animal Welfare (FAW) teams. The internship will run from June through August 2025. It is open to students currently enrolled in or have completed a Master's or PhD, students starting a Master's or PhD program in 2025, or candidates working for an organization that offers externship/secondment opportunities.
Strategy Lead: University Groups
We are seeking a strategic and ambitious leader to drive the development and growth of EA groups at top universities worldwide, focusing on key “pilot universities” that will serve as flagship examples.
Managing Director / Program Director / Community Manager
Effective Altruism for Jews (EAforJews.org) is a global community of Jews coming together to help tackle the world’s most pressing problems effectively and share EA ideas within our Jewish communities. We are seeking a Managing Director to lead the organization forward, as well as a Program Director, and Community Manager.
Expression of Interest
We are accepting expressions of interest for certain positions that we haven't yet opened hiring rounds for. We’ve made the first step as easy as possible, and we recommend submitting an expression of interest even if you’re not sure if you’re a good fit. If we think you could be a particularly great fit for our team, we will reach out to you.
General Application
We are currently accepting general expressions of interest if you want to work with Giving What We Can but we don't have a suitable role advertised yet. Expressions of interest and general applications are reviewed on a rolling basis. We will reach out if we think you might be a good fit or a role comes up that suits your skillset.
