This role will be a member of the Development Data and Systems Team (DDS). The team’s primary function is to manage and continuously improve data, systems and reporting that relate to the New Zealand IDC Programme (formerly the New Zealand Aid Programme). DDS sits within the Pacific and Development Group (PDG), which leads an integrated approach to New Zealand’s diplomatic and development engagement with Pacific countries and is responsible for the implementation of the New Zealand Aid Programme globally. More specifically, this role will be a member of the project team responsible for transitioning PDG’s Programme and Activity Management System from an older on-premise version, to a new cloud product.

The Project Coordinator is responsible for supporting the project manager and team members to keep the project running smoothly. They do this by supporting the project manager in managing the detailed project schedule, providing logistical and other support including monthly reporting, risks and issues, financials, meetings and minutes.

  • You’ll monitor the progress of the project and create project status reports for project managers and stakeholders.

  • You’ll execute a variety of project management administrative tasks such as billing and bookkeeping.

  • You’ll assist with resource and meeting scheduling.

  • You’ll have the opportunity to branch into other areas of the project if you would like to expand your knowledge and experience.

We’d like to hear from you if you are an experienced technical business analyst with the following skills and experience:

  • A minimum of five years’ experience as a project coordinator

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate concisely and effectively.

  • Attention to detail.

  • A solid understanding of project management processes and tools.

  • Understanding of The Treaty of Waitangi/Te Tiriti, Te Reo Māori and Māori customs and protocols would be beneficial.
