Reporting to and working directly with the founder and Executive Director, the MD will help advance the future of an organization dedicated to combating climate change and advancing clean energy.
Chief of Engagement
The Chief of Engagement will ensure the maximum impact of CATF’s work towards its mission through the cultivation of a highly respected organizational brand and highly effective external engagements. The Chief of Engagement will lead the development and execution of CATF’s overarching external affairs strategy and priorities, in alignment with the overall organizational strategy to drive impact and revenue generation and oversee key functions including Development and Communications & Marketing.
Chief of Finance and Operations
As a key member of the executive leadership team, the Chief of Finance & Operations (CF&O) will play a critical role in shaping the future of CATF, ensuring the organization continues to deliver impactful results in its mission to decarbonize the global energy system. The CF&O will be instrumental in driving efficiency and effectiveness across all support functions, including financial planning and analysis, accounting, operations, and IT, ensuring each department operates seamlessly to support CATF’s mission. Executive Director - Climate Change Interdepartmental Executives Board
An exciting opportunity leading a team that works across government in supporting Aotearoa New Zealand's transition to a low-carbon economy and enabling New Zealand to adapt to the impacts of climate change.
Senior Advisor- International
This team leads policy analysis and advice to the Government on international climate mitigation matters, including the implementation of the Paris Agreement. This includes policy advice and analysis relating to New Zealand's Nationally Determined Contributions and the broader international climate mitigation landscape.

Senior Advisor - Net Zero / Climate Systems
The Purpose of the role is to deliver high-quality, accurate research and analytical assessment and products to support the delivery of the Ministry's and Government's objectives and help lead on the development and delivery of policy within a complex and challenging policy space, often on new, contentious, sensitive or complex areas or issues where the scope is often unclear.
Chief of Impact
The Chief of Impact is responsible for ensuring the maximum impact of CATF’s work towards its mission and organizational strategy by securing excellence in programmatic content and delivery across a complex portfolio of programs and regional advocacy venues. The role focuses on optimizing human, financial, and external resources to prioritize and integrate programmatic and regional advocacy elements with CATF’s operational, fundraising, and financial functions. The Chief of Impact supports the program and regional teams by ensuring that ongoing strategic planning is happening, and that strategies are aligned to the CATF’s overall vision and mission, internally coordinated, and appropriately prioritized and resourced to achieve greatest impact.
Scientific Project Reviewers
In this role, you'll conduct project reviews covering a wide range of carbon dioxide removal and reduction technologies.
Co-Founder in Residence, Engineering, Secure and Scalable CO2 Storage
We're on the lookout for entrepreneurial individuals with technical and commercial domain expertise with keen interest in founding, and building a global scale, impact driven, high growth company from the ground up.
We are seeking applications from experienced industry, startup and/or new science or engineering based technology development professionals from anywhere in the world to work with us on addressing the challenge of enabling secure and scalable geological CO2 storage.
You’ll work closely with the DSV team and the current Founder in Residence for this area to co-found and spin-out a new company. Once the new venture is incorporated with pre-seed investment from DSV, you and your co-founders will own the majority stake in the business and continue receiving support from the DSV team post-spinout.
The role is full-time, initially remote (can work from anywhere) with possible relocation once the new venture is incorporated.
